At Badoo, we’re constantly working to make the way you meet people more secure. Badoo Photo Verification helps protect you from fake profiles–and shows people on the app that you look like the same person as in your profile photos, too. When you’re verified, you’ll get a blue tick on your profile to let everyone know. Plus, on average, profiles with verified photos get more messages than those that are unverified. It’s a win-win.
Want to get verified? Here’s how:
- Go to the profile tab
- Tap Safety
- Tap Verify your profile
- Tap Get verified
- You’ll be prompted with an example of a random photo pose. Take a selfie mimicking that pose and send it using the simple step-by-step verification process outlined in-app
- Your photo won't be uploaded to your profile, so don't worry about looking your best!
All photos are reviewed and you’ll receive a confirmation or rejection of your verification.
You can also filter by profiles with verified photos. This means we’ll only show you people who have verified their pictures.
How to filter by profiles with verified photos
- Go to the tab to meet people near you
- Tap the filter icon in the top right-hand corner
- Scroll down to Advanced filters
- Tap Photo verified
- Select Photo verified only
- Tap Apply changes
