How Badoo Is Celebrating Key Workers During The Corona Crisis

Key workers are the backbone of the workforce. Doctors, nurses, delivery workers, supermarket workers, bus drivers, and others are the people that are keeping everything running during these difficult times.

We know you make up a significant part of the Badoo community, so we wanted to put the spotlight on you, and celebrate everything you do.

How Badoo Is Celebrating Key Workers During The Corona Crisis:

Donating To Charities

We’ve implemented a donation mechanism on the app: for every person who thanks a key worker, we’ll donate money to charities fighting the virus.

Giving Key Workers A Hero Badge On Their Profile

We’re giving you a way to identify yourselves on Badoo. It’s our way of saying thank you for all the amazing work you’re doing.

If you see someone with a superhero emoji on their profile, that means they’re a key worker.

While this is just a small token of our appreciation, we hope it highlights the fantastic work our users are doing every day, and encourages others to thank them for it.

Showing Our Gratitude

To raise awareness outside the app, we’ve partnered with artist Nathan Wyburn to create collages of the key workers who make up our community, and the thank you messages our users are sending.

We’ll be doing this around the world across different countries to really capture the huge number of essential workers in our community, and showing them across our social channels.

We’re all doing what we can to make it through this, and together, we can really make a difference.
